Samsung Galaxy S3 Review

Since I was a iPhone user and have no experience with Android, I have not yet dared to buy a smart phone with Android operating system. However now, I had the courage to buy and purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is beautifully finished and makes a very classy look. That the screen is bigger than the iPhone 4 you can see at first glance. The Samsung Galaxy S3 in fact enjoy a 4.8 inch display. The back is made of plastic. Here is my scratch-resistant glass coating my iPhone 4 like a lot better. Also the back of the S3 is very prone to fingerprints. However, That does not bother me.

Display:
The display is very large indeed. You can see more and more to the advancement of technology and the developers are still trying to develop larger displays. I find that the screen may be bigger in no way like that of the Samsung Galaxy S3. Because then you can call it definitely no longer a smartphone, but rather as a Tablet PC.

The display is crisp and the colors are very beautiful and strong. The fingerprints can be seen on the screen, of course, yes, but that’s just like with my iPhone 4 Also the display is very resistant to scratches. I’ll get in the next few days or a screen protector, because I just want to play it safe. However probably there is no danger that the screen is scratched, if you are good to pay attention.

Menu:
The menu is very simple and clear. If you, like me, an iPhone user, it will take a while until you get used to it. Nevertheless, everything is very easy to use. All major programs are already installed and you can immediately write messages or phone calls.

Operation:
Thanks to the strong processor, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is very fast. Everything runs smoothly and there is no loading time. The display is very nice and you have to touch the screen lightly, if you want to open a program. Of course the fingerprints are visible on the screen, but that is normal and I do not feel annoying.

What I also really like is that if you receive such a message, the LEDs will illuminate. This can be set in three different colors. Also recognizes the smartphone, when you hold it in your hand. By the LEDs can be seen from afar, what is new or if you receive a new message.

Also, the Samsung Galaxy S3 with a wireless function. It detects which networks are located within and can connect with it. Abandon the radius of the Wi-Fi reception is just gone and you surf back over UMTS. I have set up wireless in my apartment and the Galaxy S3 connects to it immediately as soon as I enter my apartment. I think that’s just great. Because I surf with a higher speed and the volume of data.

Camera:
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has an 8MP camera. So can easily make high resolution pictures and videos. The images are razor sharp and can really convince me completely. The trigger works very well and you can do in a split second a lot of pictures. Another function you can modify shoot to eight images in a row, one of which is the best we selected. Here you have to praise the developers just because that’s just fun. As we fly to Egypt in the summer, I do not know if I ever need to bring a digital camera. Because the camera of S3 is really very good. The flash is also very light and strong. Thus, for making very good pictures even in the dark.

Battery / Battery life:
The battery of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is really very good. It lasts me almost twice as long as iPhone 4 battery, after five hours of heavy use completely empty. I think that’s very good and I would like to see from Apple such a powerful battery. The battery life of the new iPhone 4S is supposed to be even shorter. Since the developer may still leave something out.

What I also like about my Samsung Galaxy S3, that I can easily remove the battery. Today, this is no longer obvious. On my iPhone that is not possible. This should probably be sent as soon as the battery, or something breaks in this area. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is the remove the battery and store it at any time bought a new and loaded. A real bonus.

Call / SMS writing:
The writing of contact works for me without problems. The contact is stored and you can easily exchange messages via SMS. The keyboard is very good and does not appear too small. Thus, all characters can be typed quickly and without problems. Smileys also appear as small pictures, not just as dashes and parentheses.

With the iPhone, it is well known that it often comes to disconnections. This is also the case with me. The Galaxy S3 has received without any problems. I called many times and I am not yet been interrupted by disconnections.

The voice quality is very good on the S3. You can hear the caller very clearly and I was also understood by the other until now always good. Nevertheless, the call quality is not ran on the iPhone. It has, in my opinion, an even better quality, since one of the callers even louder and more clearly understood. This can also be a matter of opinion.

S Voice:
This is an entirely new function. It is a program that works like a voice control. You simply activate the feature and then speaks a command to the Speaker of the smartphone. In this way, the mobile phone automatically enter dates in the calendar to play a particular song or someone calls.

It is also possible through the S Voice Messaging feature to dictate your message. However this system is not fully developed yet. Because if you speak a little unclear, it may happen that one program does not understand and never does anything else. Samsung has advertised that with this new feature so great, I can not understand, because I basically use it only rarely. For even the man, but that’s probably a matter of taste.

Speakers:
The built-in speakers serve their purpose and have a beautiful tone. So it’s fun to play mp3 files or videos.

My Conclusion:
The Samsung Galaxy S3 can definitely compete with iPhone 4s from Apple. From a technical point are both equal to the same thing. The price-performance ratio is in order and I would recommend this phone without reservation!
